Production Team Name & Logo

Now that we know all of our production team members, we should now be able to create a production company name and logo that will represent us and the short film. The logo will also be used as the opening ident of our short film so the audience will know who produced and distributed the film.

Why have haven we chosen this name?

We chose the name of Laconic Productions as 'laconic' is a synonym from the word 'short' therefore we would apply that name to our production company as we create short films. Another reason we believe that Laconic Productions is a acceptable name is that we think laconic is a very memorable word as not many people have never heard of it before therefore it will help create a unique identity for our production company in compare to other production companies that has a more conformed name.

In order for our production company to become confident with the name we decided to conduct primary research by using Survey Monkey to see if Laconic Productions is a acceptable name towards the audience.

Here is the first question that was asked to the public and their response:

As 83.33% liked the name of our production company, it would suggest that right name is chosen however the other 16.67% doesn't like it.

Most of these comments suggest that Laconic Production sounds professional and that name is very unique however one of negative comments states they don't understand what the word 'Laconic' means.

Although the majority of the audience won't know what the word 'Laconic' means; we believe it is still an acceptable name as existing production companies use names that the majority of the audience won't know the definition. An example of this is Paramount Pictures.

Paramount Pictures is one of the highest grossing film companies in the world. 

The next question asks of how appropriate the name is for a production team:

The poll has show that 100% of the audience believes that Laconic Productions is a appropriate name for a production company.

Most of these comments also suggests that the name sounds appropriate for what we are aiming to achieve and that it will look professional when we are distributing out short films. This has clearly shown of how Laconic Productions is a suitable name to choose for our company.
